GRESB (formerly known as Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) is the ESG Benchmark for Real Assets. Based on economic research into pension funds and performance of asset portfolios, GRESB has been offering sustainability benchmarking services to the real estate sector since 2007.
Participating in GRESB assessment enables companies to advance their ESG and sustainability performance by evaluating and benchmarking their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices against their peers. More than 100 institutional investors, collectively representing over USD 22 trillion in institutional capital, use GRESB data to manage risks and capitalize on opportunities*.
While GRESB systematically improves investor engagement, the assessment process could be time and resource consuming. As GRESB’s Premier Partner, CCA is well-positioned to support clients throughout the process with our quality services:
The GRESB portal is now open. Participants are required to complete the assessment by 1st Aug 2020.

CCA has established a framework to facilitate broader understanding of the GRESB assessment in the wider context of corporate citizenship and socio-environmental challenges to which we name “SECOL”.
SECOL is a combination of acronyms encompassing five dimensions that are essential to improve ESG performance. S stands for strategy, system and/ or structure; E for environment; C for climate and/or carbon; O for operations; and L for labour.
This framework seeks to provide a reference for both the participants and users of sustainability real-estate benchmarking services to identify their improvement potential in an efficient and sector-relevant way.
